The El Paso SCORE Chapter provides free counseling, financial advice, business advice, various conferences and low or no-cost workshops in English and Spanish. Our Chapter membership includes both currently working and retired executives and business owners on both sides of the US and Mexico border. All members donate their time and expertise to provide free business counseling - SCORE helping El Paso Business.
Service Corps volunteers provide FREE one-on-one professional counseling for those considering a business start-up, as well as those already operating small businesses with emphasis on the development of a business plan that is needed for proper business management and a necessity when attempting to obtain financing. SCORE volunteers regularly provide:
· Free Small Business Counseling and Mentoring
· Low-Cost Entrepreneurial Training Seminars
· Free Confidential Advice from Successful Business Experts
· Partner with US Small Business Administration
The El Paso Chapter of SCORE has members that have owned businesses, currently own businesses, and own businesses on both sides of the US and Mexico border. The Chapter has its own attorney, certified public accountants (CPA), authorities in many business related professions such as human resource (HR), marketing, insurance, taxes, bookkeeping, financial, real estate, computers/web page, sales, international trade, safety/OSHA, management and banking. Voluteers assist clients while working out of the Business Information Center (BIC), and the One Stop Business Resource Center (OSBRC). The El Paso Chamber of Commerce (GEPCC) providesSCORE its home and major centers for counseling.
The second GEPCC facility is located in Far East El Paso and houses the Center for Workforce Preparedness at 1359 Lomaland. Within this building is the One Stop Business Resource Center (OSBRC) and the future home of the nation’s fourth only National Entrepreneurial Center (NEC).
